About

Kiaana Motorsport was established in Apr 2010. The brand came from the founder, Rikki Abel, whose dog was called Kiaana, she was a cross breed of an Alaskan Malamute and a Timber Wolf. While racing in Germany she was a constant companion at the race track.

As a serving soldier in the British Army, Rikki Abel has managed race teams, built numerous race cars, completed a BSc in Motorsport Engineering, and worked within the BTCC and TOCA support grids, British GT, and the Armed Forces Race Challenge. All in between a full-time career in with Armed Forces

Rikki started racing from a young age in both karting and also rallycross, before joining the Army in 2001. This stopped his racing career until 2009 when moving to Germany he took up Drifting for 6 years before returning to circuit racing again 2012 and has stayed ever since.

2022 saw the team with a freshly built Nissan 370Z GT race car with a 3.7Litre V6 engine and a fully redeveloped chassis. This car will follow in the footsteps of the NISMO race teams using vital data and technology that is race-proven and capable of winning races. 2024 sees the team race the car again after a big development programme over the winter.
